Farm in agroecology in Morocco,
with Edgar Morin
Study and establishment of a farm in agroecology:
After 10 reforestation in Senegal, I am, on my return to France, presented to Edgar Morin and Sabah Abouessalam (his wife) by one of the partners of the " Green Brigades " association.
I have been selected to do the design for the transition from a conventional farm to an agroecological farm, with the installation of a training center for young people from agricultural high schools in Morocco.
This farm would constitute a learning site for agriculture adapted to human needs within a better environment, developing a preventive nutrition health education; and called upon to build a virtuous economic model.
Sabah Abouessalam, project leader .
Drawing on new advances in agroecology and other models in soil regeneration, natural crop fertilization, irrigation techniques such as drip irrigation, and other experiments in permaculture allow progress towards a new era where both "quality" and "quantity" are satisfied.
Sabah and Edgard's project focuses on the food autonomy essential to a Nation that wants to be not only independent, but capable of overcoming possible international crises.
A new agricultural model therefore seems essential and possible to achieve food security. It is about contributing to the establishment of a new agricultural model.
Study and establishment of a farm in agroecology:

Plantation of fruit trees (5000),
-
Green manure cycles,
-
Planting of multi-curtain hedges,
-
Composting area,
-
Nursery,
-
Ethnobotanical garden of medicinal and aromatic plants,
-
Market gardening and green manure cycles in the inter-rows of the orchard.

THE HEDGE, WIND BREAK AND BIODIVERSITY
Brise wind, refuge for wildlife
Determining the circulation paths whether installed in the countryside or in the city, the hedge is a capital element in maintaining biodiversity in the garden. It welcomes birds, foraging insects and even small mammals. ... This diversity will ensure natural self-regulation, conducive to the establishment of a small ecosystem.
